Much better start.

So this years trip to San Francisco has started out much better than last years. Last year, I noticed a poison oak rash breaking out on my arm while on the plane over, the airline lost my luggage, the airport airtram was broke and I got lost at SFO, my hotel was a dump and my room was a utility closet, my hotel caught on fire, my hotel room didn't have air conditioning, and the plane on the way back almost collided with another plane while landing, and my flight back to HSV was delayed a couple hours.

This time, all flights have been on time, no poison oak, all bags arrived safe, and the hotel is MUCH nicer than last year. I have a corner room on the 23rd floor with a panoramic view of the SF skyline and the Bay. Pretty neat! The room is about 3X the size of my room last year, and even has a 32'' flat panel LCD tv!

We've (me, Matt, Brian and Ryan) have already walked over to the Moscone conference center and registered, and gotten our first swag. Shannon, I have a bag with your name on it; Kevin, I have at least a water bottle with Oracle on it for you if I don't find a tshirt.

Anyway, the weather is ok. Sunny but kinda cool around 60 and very cool wind from the Bay. Tonight we'll go get some food. That's the only plan so far. May go check out the mall next door.
